Andbank Organises Workshop Against Cancer

Andbank organises a solidarity workshop to raise funds for research to combat breast cancer.

The action will be carried out with Estefanía González, owner of Santa Pazienzia.

Escaldes-Engordany, 1 October 2018. Pursuant to its commitment to actively support the fight against cancer, Andbank will next week host a solidarity workshop to raise funds for anti-cancer research.

October 19th is World Breast Cancer Awareness Day and to mark the occasion Andbank has organised a workshop for October 10th to create “solidarity feathers”.

The workshop will be led by Estefanía González of Santa Pazienzia, a teacher of crochet and renown social network influencer. It will be free of charge and open to all persons over the age of 15 years. The aim is to prepare feather crochets out of cotton threads that can then be purchased at Andbank branches to raise funds against cancer.

To encourage participation by the larger possible number of persons, the workshop will be done in two sessions: one from 1:00 to 2:30 pm and another from 6:30 to 7:30 pm. It will be held in the Andbank conference room, located at Calle Manuel Cerqueda y Escaler, 3-5, 5th floor, in front of the Business Centre.

In addition to contributing to a worthy cause, participants will have the chance to learn how to make these feather crochets with the help of the well-known Santa Pazienzia, and to acquire one at the workshop itself.

The feather crochets will be sold at Andbank branches from October 15th to 19th for the price of €10. All funds raised will be donated to Fundación FERO, a private foundation that works to support the development of cancer research.
