He previously worked at Aviva, a group he was part of for nearly 15 years (2002-2017) as Corporate Investment Director of the group and as CEO of Aviva Gestión SGIIC. He was in charge of Aviva’s investments in Spain during that period, participating in various international positions at the group.

Prior to his time at Aviva, Caturla worked at Plus Ultra Cía Seguros y Reaseguros for nearly 10 years (1991-2002) as an Investment Manager and then as Deputy General Manager of Investments.

Jose Caturla Vicente holds an engineering degree in Mining from ETSIM Madrid and an MBA in Finance from the City Business School of London. His appointment is part of Andbank’s plan to continue strengthening and promoting its team, using professionals with considerable professional experience in the international arena and a high level of specialisation in the financial and asset management sector.

According to Ricard Tubau, CEO of the Andbank Group, “the Global Asset Management area is one of the Group’s strategic projects for the coming years. José Caturla is a professional with more than 30 years of experience in this field and his contribution will be key to strengthening this business”.
