Andbank, a firm specialising in private banking, is strengthening its Corporate Finance area with the incorporation of the investment banking team from Degroof Petercam Spain, a company that was acquired by Andbank in February 2021.
In so doing, the team led by Oriol Huguet since 2014 will join Andbank Spain’s Corporate Finance area, which was created in 2019 by Teresa Moriyón, who had come from Credit Suisse. This unit was created with the aim of advising private banking clients in corporate operations from the offices in Madrid and Barcelona.
Andbank Spain closed the first quarter of 2021 with a business volume of €15.8 billion, 21% up on December 2020.
In the same quarter, the Corporate Finance area participated in three ECM and four M&A operations. Among these, of particular note are the acquisition of two oncological radiotherapy clinics in Switzerland for Atrys Health S.A. and the sale of Dr Healthcare to Associated British Foods, PLC.
