– Andbank becomes the main sponsor of the Andorran Football Federation, strengthening its support for the overall development of football in the country.

Andbank and the Andorran Football Federation (FAF) have signed a four-year
sponsorship agreement with the aim of supporting Andorran football as its main
sponsor and, in particular, the Senior Women’s National Team. The agreement
is based on values shared by both institutions: effort, excellence, teamwork and
the development of young talent.
The agreement was presented in the presence of Maria Suárez, Andbank’s
Director of Domestic Banking, and Fèlix Álvarez, President of the Andorran
Football Federation. Alfonso Martín, Vice-President of the FAF, and Marc
Rodríguez, a member of the FAF Board, also attended the presentation.
This strategic agreement reflects a shared commitment to combining efforts,
expertise and dedication in order to contribute actively to the development of
Andorran football. Andbank and the FAF share the same understanding of
progress, based on effort, development, teamwork and equal opportunities. In
this context, the partnership places particular emphasis on women’s football
and its significant growth in recent years as a key pillar for building a stronger,
more inclusive sporting future with a positive social impact, aligning the bank’s
values with those of football as a tool for personal and collective development.
The FAF is the governing body responsible for regulating and promoting football
in the Principality. Football has more registered federation members than any
other sport in the country, with approximately 3,488 licences recorded in the
most recent sporting season, 425 of which are in the women’s category. These
figures represent a significant share of the country’s more than 9,000 registered
sports licences, with football being the leading team sport.
Female participation in football has continued to grow, with a percentage
increase in women’s licences, although they still represent a fraction of the
overall total. In terms of competitions, the FAF oversees several categories,
from grassroots football to senior divisions and the national teams that compete
in the international UEFA and FIFA calendars.
Maria Suárez, Andbank’s Director of Domestic Banking, stated: “This

Supporting women’s and grassroots football is not only an investment in sport,
but also an investment in the future of Andorra’s young women and men.”
Fèlix Álvarez, President of the FAF, stated: “We are very pleased to have
Andbank’s support at a key stage in the development of women’s and
grassroots football. This agreement will enable us to launch ambitious projects
that encourage participation and increase the visibility of football at every level
in our country.”
