Escaldes-Engordany, 3 February 2026
The official presentation of the return of the Andorran Ice Gladiators
Championship to the Circuit Andorra – Pas de la Casa was held this morning at
Andbank’s headquarters. This will be the competition’s tenth edition.
The press conference was attended by Maria Suárez, Andbank’s Director of
Domestic Banking; Alex Bercianos, Director of the Circuit Andorra – Pas de la
Casa; and Natàlia Gallego, President of the Andorran Motorcycling Federation.
Following the most recent edition, which formed part of the Andbank GSeries in
2024, this year the Ice Gladiators will be organised separately from the GSeries
by the Andorran Motorcycling Federation (FMA) and Moto Club les Valls, with
Andbank, Multissegur Assegurances and Rilei Pneumàtics as the main
sponsors.
In 2026, the competition will take place over two rounds, on the mornings of
Saturday 7 February and Sunday 22 February, with Sunday 15 March reserved
as an alternative date in the event of weather-related difficulties affecting either
round. Each round will include a practice session, a qualifying session and two
Championship-scoring races.
Leading riders are expected to take part, including brothers Miquel and Marc
Font (winner in 2023), brothers Xavi and Cristian España (winner in 2021), and
French resident Maxime Emery (winner in 2022 and 2024). Andorran rider Sara
Miño, a regular competitor in the Andorran Enducross Championship, will also
participate.
The riders present who shared their views on taking part in the 2026 Ice
Gladiators were Miquel Font, Marc Font and Maxime Emery. They all expressed
their enthusiasm about returning to give their best on the ice.
Alex Bercianos said that “although weather conditions are becoming
increasingly difficult, it has been possible to fit the Ice Gladiators into the
circuit’s calendar.”
Maria Suárez of Andbank added that “the return of the Ice Gladiators is an
example of resilience and collective commitment, and we are especially
delighted to see this emblematic event once again fill the circuit with energy,
passion and talent.”
