Escaldes-Engordany, 2 March 2020.

The official presentation of Elite Excellence Andorra took place this Tuesday in Andbank’s conference hall. This is a non-profit organisation that aims to promote luxury and excellence in the Principality of Andorra.

The event was chaired by the Minister of the Presidency, Economy and Enterprise, Mr Jordi Gallardo, Mr Josep M. Cabanes, Deputy General Manager of Domestic Banking at Andbank and Mr Kevin de Ribes, Marketing Director of the Spanish Luxury Federation and Director of the Andorra project.

Among those attending were the Minister of Tourism, Ms Veronica Canals, Mr Nicolás el Busto, representing the Spanish Embassy in Andorra, representatives of the different municipalities, Ms Sandra Andújar, director of Elite Excellence – Spanish Luxury Federation, and several of the most important business and social figures of the country.

During the presentation, the importance of making a joint effort between the public and private sphere with the aim of turning Andorra into a tourist destination of excellence was highlighted.

Elite Excellence will work to drive different initiatives such as promoting the appeal of the country, attracting luxury firms, developing synergies, launching actions to enrich consumer experiences, and ensuring that consumers not only enjoy sport and nature in Andorra, but also have a unique place to shop and enjoy its other luxuries.

The Government has expressed its support for the initiative and will work in conjunction with the different institutions of the country to focus efforts in the same direction.

Mr Kevin de Ribes thanked Andbank for its involvement in the project from the very beginning and stressed that he believes that “the Principality has the right ingredients to become a leading point of reference in this sector in the Pyrenees”. He added that “There are already many players in the luxury sector in this country and, through coordination and cooperation, it has the potential to become the Monaco of the mountains. Andorra is a state that has yet to be explored, by both visitors and investors. By strengthening the image of the country and its excellence, we will make it even more attractive”.
