Andorra, 7 November 2019. During October and for the third year running, Andbank has marked International Breast Cancer Day on 19 October with a series of charity activities.

This year’s activities revolved around a charity breakfast in the Head Office in Escaldes-Engordany where almost all the departments took part; a masterclass in spinning in which 100 brave people pedalled in the open air and the traditional sale of Candela bracelets through Andbank’s network of nine branches in the Principality.

These initiatives, which form part of the Bank’s corporate social responsibility activity and of its contribution to treatment and ontological research, raised a total of 5,310 euros thanks to the contributions of the employees, those who registered for the spinning class, those who made financial, contributions instead, and the sale of T-shirts, as well as the voluntary collaboration of the Commune of Escaldes-Engordany, ASCA (Association of Andbank collaborators), of the NEXT Gymnasium and Monkey Trainer.

These funds will go in full to Assandca, the Andorran Association Against Cancer; to the FERO Fundación, a private body that contributes to the development of ontological research with which Andbank has been collaborating since 2015, and in the children’s oncology area of the Sant Joan de Déu Hospital.

Anna Olsina, Deputy General Director for Business of the Andbank group, said, “The fight against cancer is a central element of the bank’s corporate social responsibility, and we make our contribution through actions like the ones that we have done this October and our collaboration with the Sant Joan de Déu Hospital in Barcelona to build a children’s oncology centre”.
