Escaldes-Engordany, 1st July 2020.

Andbank has welcomed the nine young people who are embarking on their summer internships within the framework of the Andbank Trainee Programme. Six of these young people will work in the branch offices in Andorra and the others in central services in the operational and service divisions. In its sixth edition, as well as the summer places, three young people will be included who will be joining the one-year programme.

Despite the health crisis caused by COVID-19 and the uncertainties that arose during the lockdown, the bank decided to continue with the call, although it reduced the number of places in order to maintain the preventive measures implemented due to the pandemic, with the aim of once again offering young people the chance to join the programme and gain work experience.

These young people will share their daily lives with the teams of professionals from the central service department and branch offices, seeking integration into the world of employment and the banking sector in particular, while backing up the Bank’s teams during the summer period by performing support tasks.

The nine participants were chosen from over 70 applications received since the opening of the registration period in March. The admission requirements for the Trainee Programme were: to be studying a second-year higher education course related to Business Administration, Economics, Engineering or Law, among other subjects, and Andorran nationality or residency in Andorra.

Andbank launched this programme with the aim of enabling the young candidates to gain practical experience, complete their training and build up stronger CVs with a view to entering the job market, as well as helping them in terms of guidance, learning and knowledge of the world of employment for their future careers.

More than 130 students have taken part in previous years. In this sixth year, Andbank continues to focus on young talent.
