On Tuesday, Andorra will host the first encounter of domestic and international entrepreneurs within the framework of Elite Excellence, a project that seeks to promote the luxury and excellence segment in Andorra and also encourage business exchanges and the potential arrival of prestigious companies in the Principality.

According to Jordi Gallardo, Minister of the Presidency, Economy and Business and President of Actua, this encounter will take place in Andorra after he himself attended an Elite Excellence event in late March in Madrid, where he took the opportunity to explain to some fifteen Spanish companies “the current situation in Andorra, the business opportunities to be found here and the sectors in which we are seeking to diversify our economy.”

The encounter, which was held in the Andbank conference room, was attended by 17 companies, including multinationals, “some of them with the intention of rating Andorra as a destination for investing and setting up their businesses”, and others with the aim of creating commercial and business relations with firms in the Principality.

Gallardo emphasised that “we previously put Andorran companies in contact with these 17 firms based on their profiles” and also with other different ones “that hadn’t thought of Andorra until now”. These operate in all kinds of sectors such as retail, catering, jewellery, property, design and construction. In short, it’s “a group of very different companies that suit our country model and our business fabric quite well”.

As a result of the event, the Minister indicated that potential

cooperation could be achieved and that some of them would bear fruit in the coming months, thus encouraging these foreign companies to launch projects in the country on their own.
