Escaldes-Engordany, 24 May 2018. Andbank proudly presents a new product, the Compte Amic, a current account designed and created for the youngest members of the family, which allows them to save and enjoy perks and gifts.

At the Andbank headquarters and accompanied by Nuria Rocamora, Global Marketing director, the celebrated Catalan illustrator Pilarín Bayés presented the characters that she has created to accompany young clients as they open their account and to bring the experience to life.

The main characters are brother and sister Cerni and Canòlich, their friends Anna and Esteve, and their dog, Roc. “I’ve created these characters of different ages and with their own personalities so that boys and girls can identify with at least one of them and so it will be easier for them to understand what it means to save” said the illustrator Pilarín Bayés.
The artist explains that by designing a gang, boys and girls can identify different characteristics that each of the characters displays such as vitality, fantasy, innocence and responsibility. This will make learning about the value of saving a more enjoyable experience.

Pilarín Bayés has designed a money box for the launch of the new account. The children will receive the money box when they open the account and they have to assemble it themselves: “I’m sure they’ll like my money box design”, she said.

Meanwhile, Andbank’s Nuria Rocamora said that “we need to teach the very young and the not-so-young the value of saving. It’s important for them to learn early on that our lifestyles and social and working contexts are increasingly complex”.

The Compte Amic account is aimed at boys and girls from 0 to 18 and offers various financial incentives such as the option of getting a Visa Electron card at 14 or over. Opening one of these accounts will allow the youngest members of the family to get used to saving and at the same time receive a variety of attractive gifts.
