Escaldes-Engordany, 19 December 2017. Andbank presents an exclusive charity bracelet created by the Andorran jewellery designer Nerea Aixàs. All profits made from the sale of the bracelet, made from black fabric cord with silver details, will go to the FERO Foundation to help fund cancer research.

It will be on sale this week in the Nerea Aixàs jewellery shop in the Illa Carlemany Shopping Centre, and at any Andbank branch. The bracelet costs €20.

With this collaboration, Andbank continues to develop its corporate social responsibility plan, which includes a specific goal to help cancer research and promote actions supporting the fight against cancer. In addition to this collaboration with the FERO Foundation, Andbank also collaborates with the anti-cancer association CRIS, and with the Sant Joan de Déu hospital, helping to build the SJD Pediatric Cancer Centre in Barcelona.

The FERO Foundation is a private foundation dedicated to cancer research, which has been able to set up various scientific research laboratories thanks to private donations. The foundation was started by Doctor Josep Baselga, professor of medicine at the Autonomous University of Barcelona and chair of the Scientific Committee of the VHIO Foundation (Vall d’Hebron Institute of Oncology). One of the foundation’s main achievements has been the creation of the Breast Cancer Centre at the Vall d’Hebron hospital which is unique in this field of specialisation in Spain.
