The International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) will celebrate its glamorous 2017 annual gala in Andorra in November. Andbank will cooperate for the two years in which this event is held in the country.

The representatives of the Andorran organizing and sponsoring bodies: Josep Maria Cabanes, Country Banking Deputy General Manager at Andbank, Josep Punti, President of the Motorcycling Federation of Andorra (*FMA), Francesc Camp, Minister of Tourism and Commerce and Conxita Marsol, Consul General of Andorra la Vella, presented the event schedule in which Andorra will for the first time host the gala that the FIM has held since 2010. The last event was in Berlin, and previously it was held in Estoril, Monaco – which also held a couple of editions – and Jerez de la Frontera.

The Gala brings together all the stars from the world of motor cycling and will host the awarding of prizes to the champions in all disciplines, as well as other prizes such as the best rookie, the rider that has gained the most poles, the best constructor, the best GP, and the track that has taken best care of the environment. A very glamorous event with red carpet included.

The General Meeting and the Gala will be attended by more than 1,000 participants, represented by 113 federations that are members of the *FIM, 400 delegates and almost 500 people who will fill the Congress Centre, where the general assembly will take place, and the Park Hotel, where the gala will be held.

The media impact will also be important since more than 50 media sources are expected and altogether it will occupy more than 500 hours of broadcasting in the international media.
Andorra has been part of the FIM since 1987, and since then the Motorcycling Federation of Andorra has organized numerous Trial World Championship events, *FIM, Supermoto, Enduro and Trial des Nations. It has also won the FIM Environment award twice.

Things will start moving on Tuesday 21 November with the arrival of the FIM staff and all the delegations will arrive from Thursday.

On Friday 24 November there will be a Workshop of the 113 National Motorcycling Federations at the Congress Centre. On Saturday 25 November the FIM General Assembly will be held. On Sunday 26 there will be an autograph signing session by the 2017 Motorcycling World Champions, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Congress Centre. At 5:00 pm, “in pursuit of world motorcycling champions” in Poblet de Nadal, an event open to the public in Andorra. Finally, on 26 Sunday the FIM AWARDS gala at the Park Hotel, with red carpet and the FIM *Awards ceremony, which will be broadcast by RTVA.
