This afternoon, in the parish of Ordino, the minister for Land Management, Jordi Torres; the Honorary Consul of Ordino, Josep Àngel Mortés; and representatives of the Andbank group, Josep Maria Cabanes and Josep Xavier Casanovas, have signed an agreement for the transfer and urbanization of land located in La Cortinada.

This three-party agreement will enable the creation of an important new parking zone, with 90 spaces, close to the CG3 and the Massanelles housing estate. This will help the Ordino parish to resolve the current problem it has with the lack of public parking in this area of La Cortinada.

In this area, the Government owns land with a surface area of 3,424 m2 at Casa Rossell. With the agreement signed today, Andbank has transferred a plot of 223 m2 to the Government, increasing its total surface area to 3,648 m2 and giving it direct access to the CG3. Consequently, the Government has granted the Ordino parish the right to use this land exclusively for public parking. The duration of this agreement is indefinite and is established in accordance with article 89 of the Administrative Code.

On the other hand, the agreement signed today stipulates that Andbank will fund and execute all the development work of the new public parking zones, as well as the construction of a road, with all the respective services included, which will enable access to the new public parking spaces and to plots to be developed in the future. The parish of Ordino shall be responsible for all expenses related to the conservation and maintenance of the installations of these new car parks.

The minister of Land Management, the Honorary Consul of Ordino and the representatives of the Andbank Group have welcomed the agreement signed today in view of the benefits it will bring for La Cortinada and the public interest in general.
